Adamson Was A Great Father Figure posted April 10, 2008 I have heard my father Cassidy Neighbors speak of the name Mr. Adamson for many years. He always spoke of him with great respect and admiration. My dad was one of the fortunate kids that was privileged to be at the Bonny Oaks School during Mr. Adamson's tenure. How can a child be fortunate and privileged in an orphanage home? They were while Mr. Adamson was there. You see he became a father figure to many of the children teaching many values that are totally overlooked in today's culture. I know that even to this day my father still considers Mr. Adamson as his dad. If ever there was a great role model you would only need to look at Mr. Adamson. I know there have been countless of others that he touched throughout his many years of service to this community. We have lost a remarkable man that we will truly miss, but heaven has gained a great saint. Jim Neighbors Woodbridge, Va. |
